Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced that it will mark emphatic significant participation for the sixth consecutive year at the upcoming Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2016). The company will showcase its comprehensive IoT-enabled smart oil and gas solutions at the oil and gas event that is slated to be the largest instalment of ADIPEC to be held to date.

Schneider Electric’s stand at Hall 4, Booth 4250 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, will host the company’s global and regional senior management and oil and gas experts to provide trade visitors with key insights into critical applications. Integrated power and process management solutions, optimized power distribution architectures, and IoT-enabled remote analytics softwares for upstream, midstream and downstream businesses are just a few of the latest innovations Schneider will showcase at the event.

Schneider Electric’s technology is designed to improve business performance, energy efficiency, connectivity and safety on the field. Visitors will experience how Schneider innovates at every level of the oil and gas value chain, from IoT products and local control to software suites and digital services.

Visitors can also view some of the recent additions to the company’s product portfolio at the booth, such as Gutor PXC (an uninterruptible power supply for harsh industrial environments), Artificial Lift Advisor (a single platform to manage artificial lift operations), Avantis (comprehensive Enterprise Asset Performance Management) or the SimSci simulation software for operational excellence.

As part of the company’s participation, Chris Smith, Offer Director – SCADA & Telemetry Systems, Process Automation, Schneider Electric, will highlight the cost and sustainability benefits of an integrated process and power automation architecture in electro-intensive O&G plants, at the ADIPEC Technical Conference on 9 November at 12.10 PM at Capital Suite 19, ADNEC.

Benoit Dubarle, President – Gulf Countries, Pakistan and East Mediterranean at Schneider Electric, said: “The digital oilfield market is growing at a rapid pace – especially in the Middle East. With the region’s sights set on energy optimisation, there is a need for solutions that enable monitoring, surveillance and remote control over oil exploration and production processes. In 2016, our focus is on the importance of converging IT with OT (operational technologies) to make intelligent use of Big Data in order to stay competitive and relevant in this transforming energy landscape.

“As proud partners of various regional oil and gas companies, we will continue to drive value within their organisations and advise them on how leveraging leading technologies can pave the way to better decision making and resource optimisation. The 19th edition of ADIPEC also gives us the opportunity to be part of important dialogue on the dynamic regional industry landscape and how we can contribute.”

Organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and supported by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the UAE Ministry of Energy, ADIPEC 2016 will run from 7-10 November. This year’s edition will host over 2,000 exhibitiors and is anticipated to draw around 100,000 trade professionals and industry experts from 130 countries.
