Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, highlighted how the future of energy management and automation is being redefined at the IoT-themed Innovation Summit on the 11th and 12th of April at Atlantis, The Palm, in Dubai.

Currently in its fifth year, Schneider Electric’s flagship event showcased the latest technologies providing homes, datacenters, hotels, healthcare, businesses, utilities providers and O&G operators with analytics, real-time data management and intelligence capabilities. The largest of its kind, the summit drew the participation of over 2,500 visitors including top industry leaders from across the Middle East and Africa.

Caspar Herzberg, President, Middle East and Africa at Schneider Electric, said: “The Innovation Summit 2017 reinforces Schneider Electric’s commitment to creating cities of the future in line with regional objectives. Our smart city solutions integrate seamlessly and run cohesively, resulting in reductions in energy and water consumption through our EcoStruxure platform that bridges the IT/OT (information Technology / Operational Technology) gap to seamlessly connect, collect, analyse and act on data in real time which consequently helps in taking the right decision in record times.”

Ziad Mortaja, Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia’s Country President, said: “Organizations from various sectors across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are nowadays seeking ideal ways that help them harness the power of the digital world that’s increasingly dependent on Internet of Things technologies which come in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. And we at Schneider Electric are very proud of our long-term partnerships in the Kingdom through which we succeeded in reinforcing our leading position in this industry on the global level, while building on quality and continuous development and supporting Saudi youth development. This fully entitles us to provide the safety, efficiency, reliability and sustainability expected in the Saudi market for building the cities of the future.”

Leveraging its expertise to create better cities, industries and communities, Schneider Electric recently launched next generation EcoStruxure™ architecture and platform to deliver IoT-enabled solutions at scale for building, grid, industry and data centre customers. The open, scalable and interoperable platform connects the three core layers of Schneider Electric’s technology stack, from connected products, to edge control, to applications, analytics and services.
